I had learnt from Mike that Roger had offered him a quarter for twenty-five and, as I’d had reasonable product, I had offered to match the price, if wanted.
No request was made, until a short while later and, then it was a short-term loan, ‘a lay-on’, at the ‘mates rate of £20.’ So, that was twenty the quarter, okay.
Time passed and the loan was paid off and Mike went back to his green, as he no longer needed my product, selling what was a left for £10 And, as there hadn’t been that much left, it had been a fair price.
More time passed, though not much; and Mike called round to acquire, as a lay-on.
That was cool, he pays on time, as I have found out; so that had not been a problem.
But, I’d been a tad stoned already, so when Mike said his friend he’d sold to, would like some of this good product I’d spoken of as a lay-on till Tuesday. That was okay as Mike assured me that it would.
Why I consider myself a fool is that I let Mike remind me of a price that wasn’t and, I’d accepted what he’d said: a half for £25 – as a lay-on, till Tuesday.
Simply put, at that price I am losing money, which I then have to put in, to make up what was lost, on a very bad deal, for me – hell, at cost that particular product is worth well more than I’d had previously and, I’d sold it for well under!
This product cost me more than the last and, I sold it for less than I sell a half to one of my best friends. That’s damn right ridiculous.
To those who buy that should have been forty to fifty and, I sold it for nearly half, to someone I do not know as well as my friend, I regularly sell to. Goddamn.
Either I’m a fool with dope, or a fool on dope: either way, I can’t afford to keep selling at that price. Hell, I’ll break myself, selling at that price. But, honour being honour, I’m not going to renege on a deal – I just regret my own stupidity.
